Judy For Texas

Judy For TexasFrom humble beginnings in Indiana, my loving parents instilled in me essential core values of integrity, compassion, responsibility, and humility. They exemplified a strong work ethic.

My dad’s family of farmers settled in America before the American Revolution.  My grandparents on my mom’s side immigrated to the U.S. in the early 20th Century.

Ensuring a top-notch education was my parents’ mission for my sister and me. I received a B.A. with honors from Indiana University. I completed graduate studies in Community Health Administration and Media Education from the University of Cincinnati toward two Masters Degrees. Later in life I fulfilled my dream, receiving my Masters in Public Relations from George Washington University School of Political Management. While residing on the East Coast, I completed professional training at the Connecticut School of Broadcasting, the Fairfield University School of Performing Arts, and Video Associates in New York.  As a certified functional aging specialist, I am committed to life long learning.

I founded my Media Communications Consulting Firm, Cutright Communications, L.L.C. in 1996, My firm assists global corporations, higher educational institutions, and non-profits in telling their story over various media platforms. Prior to becoming my own boss, I worked for the Civil Service Commission, served as Director of the Citizens’ Committee on Drug Abuse and Director of Mental Health Volunteers, for Greater Cincinnati. and as Coordinator of Student Events for the University of Cincinnati. My professional experience in broadcasting includes serving as a TV and Radio News Anchor and Reporter and talk Show Host.  As a member of AFTRA/SAG, I have worked on Feature Films and TV network programs.  I have held corporate managerial positions, advised global enterprises, and produced medical programs for the global Healthcasts Network.

Family is my top priority.  As a single Mom throughout my children’s formative school years, I am blessed with three loving, productive young adults who actively give back to their respective communities and to our country.  My daughter, Angela, a graduate of Texas Tech, teaches elementary school.  My son, David, graduated from Sam Houston State University and serves as Lt. Col. Battalion Commander for Army Special Forces.  His twin brother, Simon, former Assistant U.S. Attorney, recently joined a private law firm in Tampa, FL. I am a proud Grandmother of six.  The charm of a true Texas Gentleman lured me to Texas twenty years ago. Unfortunately he has now passed away and is dearly missed.

I serve on the Board of Directors of the Rotary Club of Corpus Christi, the Advisory Board of the Salvation Army of Corpus Christi, and as Board member of the Art Center of Corpus Christi.  I am an active member of Executive Women’s International, and World Affairs Council and serve on the Faculty of Executive Book Review of Life Long Learners.
